Octoberama 2026, vol. 1 – Vamp/Martin

by The Grave Plot Podcast · October 1, 2026

As the calendar flips over, the leaves begin to change color, the air becomes crisp and cool, and jack-o-lanterns are appearing on doorsteps. These things altogether can only mean one thing, it’s the start of spooky season! And that means it’s the start of Octoberama!

Before we start digging up our themed film reviews, we discuss Real World Horror about a childhood icon turning into a creepy stalker. For Horror Business, we discuss the return of a horror legend, a series featuring metalheads’ favorite green goblin, and a franchise that just won’t die. We also take a look at the first ever R rated Godzilla movie and a video game that’s suffering will be legendary, even in Hell.

For our movie reviews, we examine two movies that really suck. Blood, that is! It’s week of the vampire and we’re throwing it back with a couple of classics. Up first is George Romero’s not-zombie flick Martin, about a guy who’s also not a vampire. Or he is. But not really? You’ll see. We also – finally – talk about the movie that scarred SkeleTony as a lad, the Grace-Jones-as-a-vampire-queen masterwork known as Vamp!

So grab your garlic and sharpen your stakes as we kick off Octoberama 2026!
