An unfortunate update

Now is the time of year when we would normally be getting ready to open for submissions, looking for an artist to create our poster, and generally beginning to prepare for another Grave Plot Film Fest in earnest.

Unfortunately, not this year.

The building that holds Ark Lodge Cinemas, the home of The Grave Plot Film Fest for the past six years, is for sale. As of now, neither we nor they have any idea if they will even be open next February.

So it is with a heavy heart that we must begin the process of finding a new venue. We have no idea where and we have no idea when we might be able to provide you with an update. There’s a chance the event will be later in the year, there’s a chance we may have to skip 2025 altogether, and there is – sadly – a chance that The Grave Plot Film Fest has already had its last hurrah.

For now, all we can say is visit your local independent movie theater (including Ark Lodge, they are still open!) and keep an eye on this site for further updates on The Grave Plot Film Fest.
